Yellow Belly

Well that last post was a bit emotional. And this one will be no different. That's what you get from a "already-super-sensitive-pregnant-hormonal-mess-of-a-woman". I'm working on this part of me. But it is a hard fire to put out. Those hormones.

Yesterday Spencer, Gretta, Baby Bump and I drove up to Prescott. At a place called Sunset Point exactly 3 years ago this month, there were wildflowers GONE wild! Yellow heavenly plateau of blossoms. Just in time for us to get some wedding pictures there.

Now, 3 years later they are there again. Not exactly AS bright and full, but they are there and we love them. So we stopped and got a belly picture. I was wearing the worst outfit possible and Spencer does not know how to use my camera, but he did get this gem. And I'm glad little sister will feel a little special that we wanted to document her time in my belly. Thanks spencer. I love you.

Speaking of Spencer. He just left 18 minutes ago. He left for North Dakota. Again. It's a long story, but basically the job hunt was not good down in Arizona, and the company he worked for in North Dakota called him a few times to see if he wanted to come back. We've come to realize, an income and a job is very important for a man to be able to provide and work at. Without it, he feels pretty worthless. So let's not feel that way anymore shall we!?!

I'm doing my best to hold in all the tears because I absolutely hate being without him. And i hate even more not knowing when I'm going to see him next. P.S. Today the ENTIRE state of North Dakota's highways are shut down due to blizzarding conditions. Heaven help my husband. Bless his heart.

22 weeks along and.... is it over yet?

with my first pregnancy, i just about loved everything about it. i was totally into taking maternity pix and writing notes to the baby.

this time around...
well...
not so much.
and i know that sounds bad to lots of women out there.
some even try to make me feel bad about it by gushing over how much they LOVE
EVERY single thing about being pregnant.

to those "magical pregnancy unicorns" out there. i'm calling bullshit!
(if you haven't watched "what to expect while you're expecting" go get it NOW, especially if you're pregnant)

it's not that i don't think growing a baby is the most amazing thing i could ever do.
i KNOW it is.
no matter how hard i try, this will be the most amazing thing i ever do.
but i still have my days when i'd rather be doing ANYTHING else than this.
like jumping roping. or wearing my cute jeans. or sleeping flat on my tummy!

so here i go. i'm making a list of all the things that i don't like about pregnancy.
lucky for anyone who reads this!
(to my 2nd daughter, this has absolutely nothing to do with you, you sweet buttercup you)

1. i LOVE sleeping on my tummy, WAHHHH!!!!
2. i hate maternity clothing.
3. i've had really bad back pain. real bad.
4. gretta jumps on my belly and it HURTS!
5. my butt gets as big as my belly.
6. i have no idea where i will be delivering this baby, and that makes me stressed.
7. i cry all the FREAKING time.
8. i blame spencer for things even when there is nothing wrong.
9. stretch marks.....
10. all i want to eat is hamburgers and steaks. and thats gross.
11. oh and all i want to eat is oreos too. thats gross too.
12. my hair is not growing that fast despite what everyone else says.
13. i tired.

ok that's enough for now.
how bout a happy pregnancy list. just so you think i'm sane.

1. i love when she kicks. so gentle, so cute.
2. i love imagining what she will look like!
3. i'm finally showing enough so it doesn't just look like chubbiness :)
4. i feel important
5. can't wait to try nursing again

thank you blogosphere, for letting me unleash my inner most (embarrasing) feelings.
i really needed to get that out.

phil mickelson

sometimes when you sit around after your baby goes to sleep and your house is already clean, and your husband is studying his butt off and won't even look at you... you think that means its time to blog something. so i'm blogging.
the something i'm blogging about right now is kinda important to me. and i really wanted to put it out there on the web-er-net all special and cool like and maybe even include some exciting photos. but i'm just gonna write it. and then i'll write some more nonsense.
WE'RE PREGNANT!
holy smokes that felt weird to write. we only told our families starting this week. i've been holding it in for a month or so and if you know me, that is a huge deal. i'm 10 weeks along. gretta is gonna be a big sister. and it is going to be amazing. crazy, busy, hectic, amazing.
i can't wait to hold this baby. i get to have another baby?!? how am i allowed to do this? i feel way too lucky and way too... trusted?? wow. wow wow wow. but anyways. since this blog is definitely the journal of our lives, i'm gonna make some comments on how this pregnancy has been different from the other.
-i haven't thrown up. (only felt like it)
-i know what i'm getting into (i think)
-i have a baby to chase after, so i think about being pregnant hardly ever.
-i don't want to take any belly pictures. not even one thank you. (and funnily enough, i don't think this baby will care if i do or do not in the long run. haha)
-i have no ideas of what to name him/her.
-i'm visiting a midwife. she has made me feel like the most capable woman alive.
-i have no idea where i will be delivering this baby. maybe az, maybe tx, maybe korea? (haha jk mom)
-i really want a boy. and by writing that i better not have jinxed it.
i get to have another one of these!
