cool kids

Every morning we wake up at 6:15 and wave bye bye to daddy off the balcony. We eat breakfast and take baths then we go to the gym. This morning I grabbed my camera and took these of the girls before we loaded in the truck. They are so fun to be around right now. I love our little set up. I know things will change before long. Gretta will go to school, more kids might come and then London will be gone too! So hopefully I'm making the most of my life right now. It's not always easy to love the toddler stage and all that comes with it. But I know that I'll look back someday and miss it.

monday fun-day

mondays over here are fun! spencer has them off so we get to do all the things we like the most with daddy. today we had smoothies for breakfast and went hiking in the hot hot heat already. us girls are giving dad a REAL day off now. we are heading to the az science museum with friends and then to prescott (yet again) for cousin julien's first birthday party! yay for mondays!

maggie's dance photos

i have the cutest little niece. she is in the dance studio's dance company in prescott. that means she practices for many hours a day and goes to competitions and lots of other events. she has gotten so good in the year that she joined the company. her and her mom decided to have me take her dance pictures instead of purchase the same old ones that they get done in the studio. so fun!

on being gretta's mom

being gretta elise's mom.
it comes with both give and take. good and bad. happy and sad.
she has passion, humor, corkiness, and drama.
some days i loose my patience... (most days at least once or twice) with her constant need for that spark in her life.
i don't believe she will be a lazy person. or a dud.
i feel challenged by her, but more than in the normal mother/child way that toddlers challenge their parents. i feel this responsibility to show her that life is limitless. i need to give her those opportunities that will open her eyes to her full potential. this seems crazy for me to be thinking about when she is only 3 years old. but its because i don't have the tools i need yet so i have to start now! i have to look ahead to that day when she is going to realize she needs to be great at something to be happy.
i don't know who gretta will become. but at the very least i know she will bring LIFE to those around her.
she makes my life so much better.
spencer and i are lucky to be a part of her journey :)

p.s. i lied in the previous post... she already has this swimsuit! and i can't get enough of her in it.
