24 hours

well, the last 24 hours has been nothing short of amazing. we welcomed London Keira into our family and into the world. she has been the sweetest thing and we she came at the most perfect moment i could ask for.

after a unexpectedly great labor, (i honestly thought i was going to have a c-section but then my body decided to dilate from a 4 to a 10 in less than 2 hours!) i pushed this girl out in 20 minutes. i didn't need any stitches and i'm really proud of myself. labor is such a weird thing. you think you might be able to control things, or you want it to play out a certain way, and maybe for lots of women it does! but for me it ends up coming down to what baby decides. both gretta and london had crazy heart rates during labor and so we were under their control... which now that i think about it, is not that bad at all.

London was born at 9:03 pm on August 15, 2013
she weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and 19.5 inches long.

now we are here waiting waiting waiting in the hospital. it feels like this day has sped by and gone sooo slow all at once.
