"ooh baby baby its a wild world"

this week has been a wild ride.

monday was MLK day. spencer and i went to sedona with my brother and his wifey who are here from new york. we stopped and ate in jerome "the city on the hill"

and then hiked to "devil's bridge"

which was kinda hard to do prego... but really really nice once we got to the top. it was such a great day and i'm so glad we got to spend some time with jordan and nicole.

later in the evening we finally arrived home to our apartment in phoenix. spencer turned the key to the door and thought "was that even locked"?

as it turns out, some robbers broke our bedroom window, crawled in and ransacked our apartment. they took about $10,000 worth of our goods. i didn't even know we owned that much stuff. they also got ahold of our extra debit card and checks. we canceled those accounts in a hurry, but only after they filled up at the QT for $175???

we luckily have renter's insurance and so the claim is being handled right now. that was a huge blessing. another positive outcome is that the apartment complex let us out of our lease with no extra fees. we don't want to bring a baby into this world living there. it just feels wrong. so we found a perfect place yesterday in a way nicer area for the same price.

it might seem like a bad thing happened to us, but i can't help but think that heavenly father knew we needed to get out of our lease and move and this was the only way to let it happen.
